In a national atmosphere full of pride and honor, the Al-Samoud Sports and Cultural Club, this evening, Sunday, October 13, 2024 AD, lit the flame of the 61st anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution at the Revolution Museum in Ordofan, in the presence of a large audience and a number of political and military figures.
This event is one of the most prominent events organized by the club to celebrate this precious national occasion, which represents a symbol of the struggle of the southern people for freedom and independence. In his speech during the event, the President of the Al-Samoud Sports Club, Sheikh Amin Al-Ash, stressed that lighting the torch in this historic place reflects the depth of the southerners’ connection to their glorious revolution, the first spark of which was launched from the peaks of the majestic Radfan Mountains in 1963 AD under the leadership of the heroic martyr Rajeh Ghaleb Labbouza.
The ceremony also witnessed the screening of a documentary film highlighting the most prominent stages of the glorious October 14 Revolution, and the heroic role played by the people of Radfan in defeating British colonialism until the last British soldier was expelled from the south on November 30, 1967 AD.
Participants in the ceremony praised the great efforts made by the youth of Al-Samoud Sports and Cultural Club to organize this event, which embodied that national spirit in the preparations and decorations witnessed by the Radfan Revolution Museum, to become a gathering point for celebrating and lighting the October flame in the spirit.
