The security services in Al-Mahra Governorate arrested an accused of committing cybercrimes related to blackmailing women through social media.

A security source reported that the so-called (A.A.Q) admitted during the investigations to blackmailing (14) women from various governorates via the “Snapchat” application, using fake names and making financial gains from them, indicating that the accused was referred with the seized items. To the prosecution to follow up on the case after completing all legal procedures.

The source renewed its call on citizens to quickly report any blackmail operations that may occur under any circumstances.
