The Prosecution of Industry and Trade in Criminal Case No. 140 of 2024 destroyed a quantity of damaged cheese due to poor storage, in the presence of the Deputy Prosecutor of Industry and Trade, Judge Dr. Somaya Qobati.

During the destruction process, the member of the prosecution, Judge Jihan Abdel Salam Al-Dhafri, stated that he carried out a destruction process for large quantities of triangle cheese, numbering 1,450 cartons, as this falls within the measures and procedures taken by the Prosecution of Industry and Commerce to ensure the safety of the food and its suitability for consumption.

The prosecution stressed the Public Prosecution’s keenness to preserve the security and safety of the citizen, preserve the public interest, and sense responsibility in implementation of the provisions of the Constitution and applicable laws and to avoid everything that threatens consumer health.

The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Fadel Sweileh and Abdel Salam Mansour, the director of the Office of Industry and Trade in Mansoura Directorate, Faisal Al-Sanani, and the representative of the Environmental Health Office, Ahmed Salmeen, attended the destruction.
