The Houthi militia vowed to respond to the American strikes that targeted sites in Sanaa and Saada, on Thursday, in the latest attacks launched by Washington using advanced strategic bombers.
The so-called Houthi political office said in a statement that the American aggression against the capital, Sanaa, and Saada governorate will not go unanswered.
He indicated that they are continuing their attacks against ships and towards the occupied Palestinian territories, and will not be deterred by American raids.
The Houthi militia did not disclose the damage resulting from the air strikes, but only explained that the United States and Britain launched 15 air strikes on the capital, Sanaa, and Saada Governorate.
Houthi media reported that six raids targeted the areas of TV, Al-Hafa, and Jurban, north and south of the capital, Sana’a, and nine raids on the areas of Kahlan and Al-Abla, east of Saada Governorate.
The US Central Command announced in a statement that its strikes targeted Houthi fortified underground facilities that include missiles, weapon components, and other ammunition used to target military and civilian ships.
It indicated that taking these measures aims to reduce the Houthis’ ability to continue their reckless attacks on international commercial shipping and US and coalition ships, and to reduce their ability to threaten regional partners.
It indicated that its assessment of the damage of the strike is ongoing, and there is no indication of any civilian casualties.
In addition, the leader of the Houthi militia, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, said that his group targeted 196 ships linked to Israel, the United States, and Britain within 11 months.
Al-Houthi confirmed, in a speech broadcast on Al-Masirah TV, on Thursday evening, that his group continues to support Gaza with missiles and drones.
He also claimed that his group's operations this week were carried out with 25 ballistic and winged missiles and a drone.
