The General Department of Narcotics Control in the Security Belt Forces caught a gang red-handed in possession of marijuana and weapons, in a residential house in the Sheikh Othman District in the capital, Aden.
In the details of the operation, the Director of the General Department of Narcotics Control in the Security Belt Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara, explained that his administration received a report indicating the presence of two young men and a girl, in one of the residential homes in the Sheikh Othman District, who were taking drugs and engaging in immoral acts.
He added: “The house where the gang was located was raided in coordination with the legal authorities, the gang was arrested, and hand grenades and a weapon such as a pistol were found in their possession.”
Lieutenant Colonel Haidara pointed out that: “All necessary measures were taken in the process of arresting the gang, in a legal manner, and the gang members were subsequently handed over to the competent prosecution in accordance with the law.”
Lieutenant Colonel Mayas also stressed: “The need for a sense of responsibility on the part of all parties specialized in the field of combating drugs, with the aim of eradicating this destructive scourge on societies, especially since it has become widespread in our society.”
