Today, large crowds from the districts of Sayhut and Al-Masila arrived in the city of Al-Ghaydah, the capital of Al-Mahra Governorate, to participate in the carnival festival on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution, under the slogan “Our identity is southern.”

This event is part of the national celebrations organized by the Southern Transitional Council in Al-Mahra, where the festival is expected to witness a large public presence from various directorates of the governorate. The festival focuses on strengthening southern identity and consolidating awareness of the history and revolution of the south, which is considered a turning point in the struggle of the people of the south against colonialism.

As part of the preparations for the festival, the organizing committee prepared a rich carnival program that includes cultural and artistic activities that highlight the heritage of Al-Mahra and the south in general.
