The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, inspected today the site of the house that was partially collapsed in the Al Salam neighborhood in Mukalla.
The governor, along with the Director General of the Mukalla City Directorate, Engineer Saleh Al-Omari, looked at the damage to the house belonging to the Afif family and closely assessed the situation, directing the evacuation of citizens from the house adjacent to it out of concern for their lives.
The governor directed the civil defense teams, the Mukalla City Directorate, and the Public Works Office to secure the area surrounding the house and take measures to protect citizens from the danger of passing by the collapsed house.
He also directed that the necessary measures be taken after technical verification to restore or remove the house in order to preserve the lives of those living next to it and passers-by.
The residents of the neighborhood expressed their appreciation for the governor’s quick response, his early arrival to the site of the event, and his interest in the safety of citizens.
Security sources confirmed the safety of citizens as a result of the partial collapse, as the collapsed house was devoid of residents, and citizens were immediately evacuated from the house adjacent to it, renewing the warning to take caution and carry out the necessary restoration of the damaged and old homes.
