Al-Mahra Governorate Police confirmed their success in seizing a Volvo trailer truck during an attempt to smuggle a shipment of weapons spare parts through the customs of the Shehn port.
The truck was driven by someone called (M.A.Z.H.A.), who was 50 years old and worked as a private driver. After the inspection, five parcels of weapon spare parts were found, amounting to approximately 3,975 Kalashnikov automatic weapon spare parts.
This seizure was the result of a great effort by the security forces, who followed the driver’s movements and collected intelligence information about the shipment, as they were able to find the names of other participants, including (A, M, A, R), (N, S, A). , Z, D), (M, A, B, A), and (A, A, S) who were arrested and transferred for investigation.
The truck and weapon spare parts were confiscated and the defendants were detained to complete the legal procedures. This achievement comes within the framework of the security authorities’ efforts to combat weapons smuggling and enhance security and stability in the region.
