The President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Captain Saleh Bin Nahid, discussed today, in the authority’s building in the capital, Aden, with a technical team from Royal Jordanian Airlines, the resumption of the company’s flights to Aden International Airport, after a hiatus that lasted for years.
p>In the meeting, in the presence of the competent directors of the Authority and the company’s agent in Aden, Captain Bin Nahid confirmed the Authority’s keenness to provide all facilities to Royal Jordanian Airlines in order to complete all necessary arrangements for operation.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the Aviation Authority and airlines operating in Yemeni airports in the liberated areas, to open the door to competition and service to travelers.
In this context, the Jordanian technical team visited Aden International Airport, and met with the Director General of the Airport, Abdul Raqeeb Al-Omari, and airport specialists, to inform them of the level of equipment and procedures followed in all airport departments.
The Director General of Aden Airport expressed his welcome and happiness at the resumption of Royal Jordanian Airlines flights to Aden Airport, and he looked forward to working closely with them to benefit from their distinguished expertise in air navigation in order to enhance the airport’s capabilities... stressing the importance of the decision to resume Royal Jordanian Airlines to Aden Airport. Aden Airport, as it will have a prominent impact in enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries and serving passengers.
