Saeed Al-Muhammadi, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadramaut Governorate, reviewed the damage to the fish landing center in the Al-Qarn area located in the Eastern Al-Deis District, as a result of tropical storm Tig.
During his meeting today, Sunday, with the director of the district, Muhammad Saeed Bakhawar, and the head of the local leadership of the council, Salah Ahmed Al-Kasadi, he heard the extent of the damage to which the district was exposed, as a result of the effects of the tropical storm.
The damage to the infrastructure extended to the fish landing center in the Al-Qarn area and the land bridge connecting to the center, and its locations, in addition to some minor damage in the Thuban area.
The attendees agreed to construct breakwaters to protect the center and fishermen’s boats, and a wall to protect citizens’ homes in Thuban, stressing that the precautionary efforts of emergency teams to confront the tropical situation, whether to protect fishermen’s boats or clean flood drains, contributed to saving citizens’ lives.
