The terrorist Houthi militia has escalated its military operations on various fighting fronts in Taiz, despite international efforts to maintain the truce in Yemen and the attempt to move the peace process forward.
Military sources told Al-Ain News, “The Houthi militias attacked the National Resistance positions in the Al-Barah axis in the Al-Kadha sector, west of the Yemeni Taiz Governorate.”
The sources added that military confrontations broke out on Wednesday evening between members of the Houthi militia and the National Resistance Units in the Al-Kadha sector in Taiz after the militias attacked National Resistance sites.
For its part, the military media of the National Resistance on the West Coast said, in a statement, that units of the National Resistance on the contact lines clashed with the Houthi militias with medium weapons and machine guns.
The statement, seen by Al-Ain News, confirmed that there were human and material losses among the militias and the silencing of their sources of fire, through focused strikes on sites used by the militias in their attempt to infiltrate and target resistance sites.
Earlier today, units of the National Resistance repelled an infiltration attempt by militia militants in the same sector, causing losses in their ranks.
Yesterday, Tuesday, army forces in Taiz thwarted militia infiltration attempts on the Asifra fronts in the north, and the Al-Anin front in the west.
Two children were injured
The terrorist Houthi militia committed a new terrorist crime, on Wednesday, by bombing a school in the Al-Hannaya area, west of Taiz, resulting in casualties.
According to the sources, the Houthi bombing targeted a government school this morning, leaving civilian casualties.
The sources said that the drones targeted Al-Hanaiya School in the Al-Kadha sector in Al-Barah axis, with two shells, wounding two students with various injuries.
Targeting this school adds to a series of serious war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law committed by the Houthi militias against civilians, schools, children, and residential neighborhoods, over a period of about 10 years.
Exploitation of international efforts
As usual, the Houthi militias escalate their military attacks from time to time on various combat fronts, and these attacks focused on the governorates of Hodeidah, Taiz, Abyan, Shabwa, Al-Dhalea and Lahj.
The militias are exploiting the international efforts for a truce, and through their military escalation they aim to obstruct efforts to bring peace to Yemen.
The militias failed to make any field progress recently on more than one front, after they attempted to carry out several attacks and target the positions of the Yemeni government forces with drones.
