Health authorities in Taiz Governorate, southern Yemen, announced that more than 10,000 cases of cholera and dengue fever and 51 deaths had been recorded since the beginning of this year.
The health media page in Taiz Governorate on Facebook reported that 10,510 cases of cholera, dengue fever, and measles were recorded, and 51 deaths were recorded in the governorate during the period between January 1 and October 23, 2024.
She added that suspected cases of acute watery diarrhea and cholera amounted to 6,682 cases. Including 781 confirmed cases, and 43 deaths related to the disease.
She indicated that cases of dengue fever and fevers had reached 2,542 cases since the beginning of the year, but that “no death or bleeding case had been recorded,” while suspected cases of measles in the governorate reached 1,286 cases. Including 8 deaths so far.
