In a new tragic incident that confirms the continued Eritrean violations against the Yemeni people, two Yemeni fishermen were seriously injured as a result of direct fire by Eritrean naval forces while they were carrying out their work in Yemeni territorial waters.
This incident is added to a long series of violations that include kidnapping, torture, and plundering to which Yemeni fishermen are repeatedly exposed.
These aggressive actions constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and undermine efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.”
