The American envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, affirmed his country’s support for the reforms undertaken by the Central Bank, enabling it to exercise its functions and carry out its duties towards the Yemeni people.
During a meeting in Washington with the Governor of the Central Bank, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Maqqi, he pointed out the need to strengthen mechanisms for integrating the Yemeni financial and banking sector into the regional and international financial system.
He expressed his understanding of the conditions and difficulties that Yemen is suffering from, stressing continued support for the government in implementing its economic reforms.
