A thirteen-year-old child committed suicide and ended his life inside his home in Dhu Al-Safal District in Ibb Governorate, which is under the control of the Houthi militias affiliated with Iran.
Local sources reported that the son of citizen Abdullah Ahmed Saeed Salam was found dead after he hanged himself inside his home, in an incident similar to the death of his father in light of the family’s living crisis.
Human rights activists and humanitarian workers have monitored the escalation of suicide cases in Houthi-controlled areas as a result of the collapse of the living situation and the group’s continued failure to pay salaries and impose taxes without regard to the economic situation, pushing society towards further escalation of the Iranian war in the region.
