The Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, met today with the Deputy Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Sarhad Fattah, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss the effects of the politicization of the economic file and its negative repercussions on the livelihood of citizens.
The meeting, which was attended by the Director of Aden Security, Major General Mutahar Al-Shuaibi, and the Undersecretary of the Governorate for Youth Affairs, Abdul Raouf Al-Saqqaf, discussed multiple issues related to the political, humanitarian and development situations, including the effects of stopping the export of crude oil and the complications facing peace efforts.
Lamlas pointed out that the local authority in Aden has made great efforts to improve the situation, through projects such as establishing a center for revenue development through unified networking, which helped in fulfilling obligations towards citizens.
The two sides agreed to enhance coordination and communication to develop humanitarian and development work mechanisms in Aden, while emphasizing the state of security stability and the ongoing work in the service and security aspects in cooperation with government agencies.
