A marine crew was able to tow a giant ship carrying tens of thousands of tons of wheat to the port of Aden, south of Yemen, after it stumbled to enter by relying on its engines.
The Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation said, in a statement issued on Sunday, that the department’s crew The Corporation's Navy was able to tow the giant wheat ship "Poseidon-S", which carries the Monrocan flag, and bring it into the port after great efforts that were crowned with success.

The CEO of the Corporation, Mohamed Alawi Amzarba, explained that the towing process took 4 hours, and the port’s tugboats were used. The four, in addition to two large tugboats to control the ship during the operation, came “after studying the case and taking all guarantees related to covering the risks resulting from this dangerous operation.”
The statement indicated that implementing the operation using naval tugboats posed a major challenge to the course of navigation in The port and its vital facilities due to the huge size of the ship and also because it contains wheat that the local market needs.
