Today, Al-Emad police were able to arrest a gang accused of stealing high-voltage cables for power lines owned by El-Elm Company.
Al-Imad Police Director, Major Rubel Abdul Rahman Al-Subaihi, said that they received a report about unknown persons stealing the electricity cables belonging to Al-Elm Company, and the accused were investigated and arrested within less than 24 hours.
The police chief added that the gang members were working as security guards at the company, but they betrayed their trust and stole copper cables weighing approximately 700 kilograms. They damaged the power lines in order to steal the copper cables.
He confirmed that the security forces arrested the accused and the person who bought the stolen goods from them, and an investigation report will be opened with the accused, and as soon as the procedures are completed, they will be transferred to the competent authorities to be punished in accordance with the law and order.
