Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Chairman of the Auxiliary Political Body of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the death of the October activist, Major General Salem Abdullah Salem Al-Qashmi Al-Yafei, today, Wednesday, one of the heroes and fighters of the October 14, 1963 revolution, and one of the most prominent. Activists of the National Front and its guerrillas during the period of armed struggle until independence was achieved on November 30, 1967 AD.
In his telegram, Dr. Al-Khobaji praised the deceased’s national virtues, as the deceased held several important positions during the phase of building the state of the South after independence, starting with the rank of lieutenant and then the rank of colonel in the Ministry of Interior in the People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen, and reaching the position of general director of the Internal Trade Company. During his reign, it witnessed remarkable success and stability.
The late deceased also assumed the presidency of the Liberation War Fighters Organization, and was one of the southern leaders who were subjected to forced demobilization during the 1994 summer war on the south.
With this painful loss, Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji expressed his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the children of the deceased, members of his honorable family, his companions and lovers, and all his family and relatives.
