In a press statement, Muammar Al-Eryani, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia storming Al-Jabali Eye Hospital in the city of Ibb, and looting its contents, years after it appointed a so-called “judicial guard” over it.

He pointed out that the organized robbery, looting, and extortion carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia against the private health sector led to the bankruptcy and closure of a number of private hospitals, the departure of a number of other investors outside Yemen, the decline in the level of investment in this vital sector, and the collapse of health care services. And the low level of services provided to citizens.
Al-Eryani added that the private sector was subjected to continuous robbery, plundering, extortion and restrictions from the Houthi militia, which led to the bankruptcy of companies and merchants, the displacement of national capital outside the country, and the loss of hundreds of thousands of their jobs, as part of its plan to bulldoze the private sector and eliminate well-known commercial houses, for the benefit of Companies and their investors, with the aim of controlling the commercial sector and the national economy.
Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations, and its special envoy to take action to stop the Houthi militia’s systematic exploitation of economic sectors, and to put pressure on it to stop targeting the private sector and turning it into illicit financing tools for its terrorist activities, and to direct efforts towards classifying the Houthi militia as a “global terrorist organization,” and to strengthen calls. To freeze its assets, dry up its sources of funding, and prosecute its leaders before international courts.
