Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati criticized the attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on shipping traffic in Bab al-Mandab and the southern Red Sea.
He revealed in statements on Friday evening that the Houthi attacks on commercial ships had caused the Egyptian economy losses estimated at about $6 billion.
The Iranian-backed Houthi militia continues to target maritime traffic in Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea.
