Police services in Al Dhalea Governorate - during the month of last October - arrested 125 criminal crimes and non-criminal incidents out of a total of 125 recorded crimes and incidents and 4 non-criminal incidents. They also arrested 146 accused out of a total of 151 accused, with an arrest rate of 97%. While search and prosecution procedures are still ongoing for those fleeing from justice. 

The Al Dhalea Governorate police services stated that they referred 29 crimes to the Public Prosecution, referred 15 crimes to other specialized authorities, suspended procedures in 5 other cases, 10 crimes are still under legal procedures, and 4 crimes are still registered against an unknown person and are subject to follow-up, research and investigation. While 66 crimes and cases ended with reconciliation and waiver by the victims.

The police forces in Al-Dhalea indicated that the crimes recorded in the governorate - during the month of last October - were distributed in terms of the legal classification of crimes according to the Crimes and Penal Code between: 64 crimes committed against money, 57 crimes committed against persons and families, one crime of public danger and another of dire crimes.

Noting that the number of victims in these crimes reached 120 people, of whom 22 were exposed, including two females.

The causes of these crimes are due to illicit gain and greed, financial disputes, land and real estate disputes, personal and family disputes, feuds, the spread of weapons, psychological and social dimensions, and the weakness of religious motivation and social deterrent.
