Today, the Yemeni Gas Company completed the necessary preparations to launch a campaign to replace and maintain 160,000 damaged or partially damaged gas cylinders in all liberated governorates.
The company's deputy director, Engineer Nasser Al-Megrahi, confirmed today, during the conclusion of a training course for 17 technicians from the company's facilities employees in Marib, Hadramaut, and Aden, that all technical arrangements and logistical equipment necessary to launch this campaign in all liberated governorates have been completed.
He stated that the campaign aims to withdraw 60,000 damaged gas cylinders and replace them with new cylinders, in addition to maintaining another 100,000 partially damaged cylinders by replacing their damaged valves with new valves, as part of the company’s keenness to withdraw and maintain all cylinders that pose a danger to the lives of citizens.
p>Al-Megrahi explained that the company, as part of its preparations to implement this campaign, concluded an agreement with the Saudi Cylinder Manufacturing Company to purchase the new cylinders necessary for the replacement process, in addition to providing all its needs of high-quality Italian valves necessary for the maintenance process.
He pointed out that the company concluded today in the city of Ma’rib a specialized course for its technical staff, who will participate in implementing the campaign, during which they received theoretical training and practical applications on how to inspect, sort and maintain cylinders, replace damaged valves, and apply security and safety procedures over a period of seven days
