The Hadhramaut Governorate Advisory Committee for Strengthening Local Governance and Building Comprehensive Peace held a two-day meeting, November 9-10, with the aim of reviewing, following up on and analyzing project forms, with the participation of a representative of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
During the meeting, a comprehensive review was presented on the mechanism for filling out project forms and the standards for analyzing data related to them. The representative of the German Agency (GIZ) also gave a detailed presentation explaining the steps and procedures for evaluation, with a focus on the elements required to improve the quality of projects and meet the needs of local communities.
p>The attendees discussed methods for evaluating applications submitted by various entities, as strict criteria were set to determine qualified projects that are compatible with sustainable development goals and meet the aspirations of local residents.
Then, ten projects were identified at the meeting, five of which were in the valley districts, and five projects in the coastal districts. These are all the priority projects presented in the coast and valley of Hadhramaut and directed them in a way that best serves the community and enhances the capabilities of local government.
Most of the projects are focused on establishing solar energy projects in a number of schools, high schools, hospitals, health centers, and water wells.
