The United Arab Emirates condemned the attack on Saudi forces in the city of Sayun in Hadramaut Governorate.
Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesman for the Arab coalition forces, announced the martyrdom of an officer and a non-commissioned officer and the wounding of an officer as a result of a treacherous and cowardly attack inside the coalition forces camp in the city of Sayun, in Wadi Hadhramaut.
It was revealed that the treacherous attack occurred two days ago, at the camp of the Arab coalition forces deployed to support the forces of the First Military District to combat terrorism and smuggling in Sayun, and to support humanitarian and development work.
She explained that the attack occurred by a person affiliated with the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, stressing that the aforementioned does not represent honorable people who appreciate the positive and important role of the Arab coalition forces and their support for humanitarian work to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly people.
He pointed out that the bodies of the two martyrs and the injured arrived in Saudi Arabia after their evacuation from Hadhramaut to the Kingdom, indicating that the forces will work in coordination with the Yemeni Ministry of Defense to follow up the investigation procedures to find out the reasons and motives, arrest the perpetrator, and bring him to justice.
The leadership of the Arab coalition forces extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the two martyrs.
