Fires broke out in the Beit Shemesh area near the city of Jerusalem in occupied Palestine, today, Monday, as fragments of interceptor missiles fell on them.
The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that fires broke out in Beit Shemesh, located west of the city of Jerusalem, resulting from falling fragments of interceptor missiles, following the Israeli occupation army’s interception of a missile launched by the Houthis in Yemen.
For its part, the occupation army said that it intercepted a missile launched by the Houthi group before it crossed Israeli airspace. This was preceded by the army announcing the sounding of sirens in Beit Shemesh and other areas near Jerusalem. The army had said in a previous statement that it had detected a missile that crossed from the east towards the areas of the southern West Bank.
