A joint meeting was held that brought together the President of the Hadhramaut Court of Appeal, Judge Mohamed Sabity, the Head of the Specialized Criminal Prosecution, Judge Shaker Binnish, the General Director of the Security and Police of the Hadhramaut Coast, Brigadier General Moti’ Al-Menhali, and a number of judges, in addition to the Director of Programs at the National Democratic Institute, Mohamed Al-Kathiri, and a number of members. The Authority, in order to discuss the mechanisms of the activities of the Community Peace Authority in the city of Mukalla and coordinate upcoming activities.
The meeting, which was held at the court’s headquarters, discussed ways to enhance the Authority’s role in promoting societal peace and resolving disputes peacefully, in addition to discussing the difficulties facing the Authority in light of the challenges facing society and how to overcome them, stressing the need for cooperation between all concerned parties to ensure the success of The work of the Authority.
The attendees praised the great role played by the Community Peace Commission in promoting social cohesion and resolving conflicts by peaceful means, praising the achievements achieved by the Commission since its establishment, which had a great impact in calming many disputes and resolving and adopting many societal issues, to contribute to creating... A safe and stable environment for citizens.
At the end of the meeting, a number of practical steps were agreed upon to enhance the role of the Community Peace Commission, stressing the importance of cooperation between the judicial and security agencies and the Commission in maintaining security and stability, and providing all necessary support to ensure the success of its tasks.
