The Administrative Employees Union in the Aden Governorate Courts organized a protest this morning in front of the Aden Court of Appeal to demand the rights of employees.
In their statement, the employees expressed their protest against the arbitrary and illegal decisions issued by the President of the Aden Court of Appeal, Judge Muhammad Mahmoud Al-Junaidi, to deduct their salaries unjustly and illegally.
The statement indicated that the employees have continued their partial strike since November of last year, demanding their rights such as annual settlements, employee grades, and health insurance. Instead of providing protection for their rights, the President of the Aden Court of Appeal issued an illegal decision to deduct their salaries for the month of October.< /p>
In a related context, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Mohsen Yahya Taleb, met today in his office in the capital, Aden, with the Minister of Finance, Salem Ben Brik, to discuss issues related to the judiciary, including annual bonuses for judicial employees, and the salaries of students of the 24th batch at the Higher Institute. To the judiciary in Aden, in addition to discussing the budget of the judiciary.
Judge Mohsen Taleb stressed the importance of providing the necessary support to the judiciary so that it can perform its duties effectively, noting that improving the conditions of workers reflects positively on the efficiency of judicial work.
The Minister of Finance expressed his full understanding of these demands, stressing that these requirements are among the government’s priorities within the limits of available capabilities.
