The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said that a ship reported several explosions in the vicinity of its course in the Red Sea.
It added that the accident occurred 70 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, while no damage to the ship or crew was reported, and it continues sailing to the next port.
The Authority renewed its warning to ships to cross with caution and to report any suspicious activities in the area.
The Houthis have been launching attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea since November of last year, while the Washington-London coalition has been launching raids on Houthi sites since January of this year.
The day before yesterday, the British Maritime Trade Authority announced an incident targeting a ship southwest of Aden.
The authority said in a statement that a small boat carrying armed individuals approached a ship 53 miles southwest of Aden.
The authority stated that the accident was part of a broader incident, when the ship spotted between nine and 15 small boats in the area, confirming the safety of all members of the ship’s crew and that it continued sailing to the next port.
