A child of the age of Al-Zuhur died after being fatally bitten by a highly venomous snake in one of the villages of Damt District in Al-Dhalea Governorate.
Local sources said that the child, Ahmed Wadah Qayed Mohsen Al-Safiri, was exposed to a poisonous bite in a valley in the village of Al-Safira in Damt District in Al-Dhalea Governorate.
The sources added that the child, Ahmed Al-Safiri, was playing in the valley, but he was bitten by a poisonous snake, “Hanash,” and as a result, he was taken to a hospital, but he died.
The sources confirmed that the excessive toxicity of the snake caused the heart of the child Ahmed to stop, without the availability of vaccines designated for snake venoms in the region, in which most snakes are poisonous, including the cobra.
