The first free camp for strabismus correction operations in children was launched in Al Mokha District in Taiz Governorate, amid a large turnout from the people on the first day of its activities. This camp is organized with the direct support of Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, and in coordination with Al Ain Specialist Clinic, Under the supervision of the Medical Services Department of the National Resistance.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of representatives of the Health and Population Office in Taiz Governorate and Al Mokha District, in addition to members of the medical and humanitarian services of the National Resistance.
In a statement by Dr. Saleh Hussein Zein, head of the camp’s medical staff, he indicated that the camp received about 150 cases of children suffering from eye problems on its first day.
The medical staff sorted and examined the cases carefully, and recorded the names of the cases that needed operations to correct strabismus.
Dr. Zain expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, praising the efforts made by all the medical and administrative teams in the camp. He also stressed that this camp reflects the commitment of the medical community to providing its health services to children in need, and reinforces the importance of specialized health care. In improving the quality of life of these children.
The process of receiving and sorting cases will continue until tomorrow, Friday, and then surgical operations will begin after confirming the health of the registered children.
