The British government renewed its support for government reforms and efforts to bring lasting and comprehensive peace to the country.
This came during a meeting with Leadership Council member, Abdullah Al-Alimi, with British Development Affairs Minister, Anneliese Dodds, on the sidelines of the International Climate Summit in Azerbaijan.
Dodds stressed her country's keenness to strengthen support for the government in order to expand the scope of basic services and enhance resilience in the face of humanitarian challenges.
According to the official Saba news agency, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing cooperation between the two countries to support stability in the country and enhance efforts to improve humanitarian and economic conditions.
They also discussed the possibility of forming a joint working group between the two sides on aspects of cooperation in various fields and directions, and developing them in a joint work plan.
Britain has confirmed that international sanctions are necessary to continue pressure on the Houthis to limit their ability to destabilize Yemen, the threat they exercise in the Red Sea, and their obstruction of peace efforts.
