The Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance, headed by Judge Yahya Muhammad Al-Saidi, today, Monday, and in the presence of both Public Prosecution Member Faisal Abdel Hafez and the Secretary of the Session, Afaf Ali Mohsen, issued a number of rulings in Case No. 51 of 2022 AD, against five defendants accused of participating in a terrorist cell that carried out the crime of assassination. Martyr Major General Thabet Muthanna Jawas and his companions.
The ruling was as follows:
First: Convicting all defendants of what was attributed to them in the indictment.
Second: Punishing the convicts (Muhammad Ali Mohsen Abdullah Al-Azzani, Rania Saeed Salam, Muhammad Ahmed Yahya Al-Maysari, and Amjad Khaled Farhan) with death penalty, in addition to punishing the convict (Abdul Karim Ali Mohsen Abd Rabbo Al-Azzani) with ten years in prison.
Third: Obligating those convicted to pay litigation expenses to lawyer Khaled Al-Maysari, which amount to five hundred thousand riyals only.
The Criminal Court also obligated the Public Prosecution to confiscate the seized items.
