The local authority in Lawdar District in Abyan Governorate received, today, Wednesday, the project of lighting the city’s streets with solar energy from the implementing agency, after completing the work on it, under the sponsorship of the Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, and funding from the United Arab Emirates.< /p>
The project included the installation of solar-powered lighting units, with a power of 400 watts per unit, in the main and secondary streets and public places of the district with the aim of lighting the streets, reducing traffic accidents, and enhancing security and public tranquility in the markets and neighborhoods that were suffering from complete darkness.
While receiving the project, the Director General of the Directorate, Jamal Saleh Alala, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the brothers in the UAE for their support for this vital project, which is considered a step towards improving public services in the Directorate. Calling on the people of the district to preserve this important project and protect it from sabotage.
The Director General of Lauder and social figures also extended their thanks to Commander Al-Muharrami for his prominent role in implementing these vital projects quickly and efficiently, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens and enhancing the stability of the city.
