Today, the Security Belt forces in Yafaa were able to thwart an attempt to smuggle a locally made gas tanker and a pump, which was on its way to the capital, Aden, coming from areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi militia.
According to the details of the operation, the Commander of the Yafi Hizam, Lieutenant Colonel Dayan Al-Shabhi, explained that during the routine inspection, personnel of the central checkpoint revealed a gas tank hidden inside the cargo of a Volvo “Nice” truck.
Lieutenant Colonel Al-Shabhi pointed out that “this operation reveals the malicious methods used by the Houthi militia in smuggling operations, especially for materials that pose a real threat to the security and stability of the south and the safety of citizens.”
He added, “The seized tank did not meet the specifications, and is vulnerable to exploding upon any contact due to its poor quality, which could cause severe damage to the city.” He also stressed that “the militia resorts to these methods to hide from the sight of our forces at checkpoints.”
p>Lieutenant Colonel Al-Shabhi confirmed that “the heroes of the Security Belt Forces were and are still on the lookout for any attempts that threaten the security and stability of the south,” praising the high vigilance and security sense of the members of the Al-Ar Point in detecting smuggling operations and seizing contraband.
This achievement was considered part of the outcome of the ongoing training and qualification of the Security Belt Forces, and is in addition to their previous achievements.
