The General Department of Narcotics Control in the Security Belt Forces was able to arrest seven defendants in six different cases, in possession of hashish and narcotic pills, in the capital, Aden.
The Director of the General Department of Narcotics Control in the Security Belt, Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara, explained that: “His team was able to arrest seven defendants in six cases, divided into cases of drug possession and drug use (hashish and narcotic pills), in several districts in the capital, Aden.”
p>He added, "The process of arresting the accused took place after investigating and monitoring their locations, after which their hideouts were raided and they were caught red-handed."
Noting that files have been opened for the accused, and upon completion of the preliminary investigations, they will be referred to the competent prosecution to complete the legal procedures and take appropriate penalties against them.
Lieutenant Colonel Mayas Haidara pointed out, “The phenomenon of the spread of drugs among young people has increased dramatically and frighteningly in the capital, Aden, and its environs.”
The Director of the Narcotics Control Department concluded his statement by emphasizing the imminent opening of a drug addiction treatment center in the capital, Aden, which accommodates a large number of youth addiction cases for treatment, in addition to the presence of a special section for women.
