The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting today, Thursday, headed by the Acting President of the Council, Speaker of the National Assembly, Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri.
At the beginning of its meeting, which was attended by Dr. Professor Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, and Engineer Mani bin Yameen, Minister of Electricity, the Authority stood before the continuing deterioration of the electricity service, and the artificial obstacles that are being placed in front of the efforts made by the Ministry to provide the immediate remedies required to stabilize the service itself. The minimum, and divert the Ministry’s direction and direction towards the permanent strategic treatment of the crisis.
The Authority stressed the responsibility of the government and the Central Bank in providing financial resources to purchase the oil derivatives necessary to operate the stations, and the necessity of urgent intervention by the Presidential Command Council and the coalition, to remove these obstacles and begin serious steps now to prevent their recurrence during the coming summer.
The Commission also called on the Leadership Council to quickly address the situation of Aden’s refineries and their operation, given their importance in solving the problems of oil derivatives, electricity, and the availability of rising hard currency, in light of the wrong financial policy followed by the Central Bank, which leads to a decline in the price of the local currency, and the government and the bank’s stagnation. The Central Bank is a spectator of the currency crisis, not taking any measures to stop its continued deterioration.
The Commission also warned of the tendencies of the forces in power in the government to continue managing the country through crises, and to prepare for the opening of new and successive crises after the electricity crisis, most notably salaries and the strategic food reserve, which work is underway to produce in full swing, noting their dangerous effects on the political situation.
Politically, the Commission confirmed the Transitional Council’s positive engagement with all proposed solutions and initiatives in accordance with its texts, noting that the Council’s position on any initiative is determined by the extent of its connection to the interests and goals of the people of the South, which ensure the fulfillment of their aspirations to restore their state.
The Commission also affirmed the Council’s continued efforts to develop its political relations with its brothers in the region and other active international forces, and to strengthen the military capabilities of the southern armed forces that enable them to protect the achievements of the south and decisively confront the Houthi ambitions and terrorist groups.
The Commission pointed out the need for the people of the South and the educated elites to understand the delicate conditions that the South and the region are going through, which require standing strongly with the Council in its political struggle to defend the right of the people of the South to restore their state, and the importance of everyone’s contribution to strengthening the unity of the ranks, to impose the entitlements of the South in the process. Political.
At its meeting, the Commission had discussed the report submitted by the Legal and Legal Commission assisting the Presidency on its performance for the third quarter of the current year, in addition to a number of organizational issues related to the work of the central and local council bodies, and took the necessary measures regarding them.
