Today, Sunday, the Presidential Leadership Council, headed by Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, held a meeting to discuss the political, economic and security developments in the country.
Council members Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majali, Tariq Saleh, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Abdul-Rahman Al-Muharami, and Faraj Al-Bahsani participated in the meeting, while Sultan Al-Arada was absent due to an excuse.
The Council began reviewing its previous decisions and the procedures required to deal with changes in the price of the national currency and basic prices, stressing the government’s commitment to its duties and reforms supported by the regional and international communities.
The meeting also discussed reports on the performance of the executive authority, updates on economic indicators, and ways to contain the repercussions of the cessation of oil exports and the rise in maritime shipping prices.
The Council also discussed military and security developments, praising the vigilance shown by the armed forces in the face of Houthi militia attacks, warning against the Houthis exploiting the Palestinian issue to achieve political gains.
The Council will continue to hold its meetings this week to follow up on the issues on its agenda.
