The Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance in Hadhramaut issued death sentences for 11 accused of drug trafficking and imprisonment of two others.
This came in a public session held by the court, on Monday, headed by the president of the court, Judge Fahd Muhammad Al-Yazidi, in the presence of the member of the prosecution, Judge Ghanem Awad Al-Bahsani, and in the presence of Secretary Majid Al-Alwani, according to public prosecution information.
The first ruling ruled for the death penalty for the accused (Hakim Dada Brandoush, Osama Khair Mahmoud, Radwan Abdel Sattar Brandoush, Fayez Muhammad Nohani, Latif Nohani Wali Muhammad) as a discretionary measure, and the confiscation of the seized items and the destruction of the drug, after they were convicted of the charges attributed to them of bringing and possessing drugs according to the indictment in criminal case No. (1) CC for the year 2021 AD.
The court also issued its death sentence for the defendants (Youssef Musa Doshel, Dar Muhammad Taj Khodabakhsh, Habib Murad Jan Rahim, Musa Aladar Al Balushi, Marouf Murad Jan Rahim, and Amir Bakhsh Faz Muhammad) as a discretionary measure, confiscating the seized items and destroying the drug, after convicting them of the charges against them of bringing And possession of drugs according to the indictment in Case No. (127) CC for the year 2022 AD.
Another ruling ruled that the accused (Saleh Ahmed Saleh Baqassem) be imprisoned for a period of 25 years starting from the date of his arrest and the confiscation of the seized items and the destruction of the drug, after he was convicted of what was attributed to him in the indictment in Case No. (121) CC of 2023 AD. The court also ruled that the accused be imprisoned ( Salem Hassan Al-Gharabi) will be handed over a period of 5 years starting from the date of his arrest, the destruction of the drug, and the return of the rest of the seized items, after he was convicted of what was attributed to him in the indictment.
