Yesterday, Houthi snipers targeted a 16-year-old child in the Haqab Karsh area in Lahj Governorate, wounding him seriously. The incident occurred while the child was heading to his family’s farm in the Qadash area, north of Karsh.

Initial reports indicate that the Houthi militias targeted more than 50 civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, in areas adjacent to the Karsh Front, using sniper bullets, explosive devices, and anti-personnel mines, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

This criminal act is added to a long series of violations committed by the Houthi militias against Yemeni civilians, which confirms their continued threat to peace, security and stability in the region.
