In a remarkable development regarding the issue of the violation of the University of Aden campus, the Civil Movement confirmed the accuracy of what was stated in its previous statement and the university’s statement regarding the allegations of the investor Bin Hadi about the violation of the university campus.
The movement indicated, according to the clarifications of the General Supervisor of the Autonomous Will, that there were documents proving the disbursement of lands that were designated for the establishment of a hospital and the College of Pharmacy, with detailed maps that support these allegations.
One of the documents indicated that the looting of the university campus began systematically in 2011 AD, but it reached its peak in 2015 AD, when decisions to dispose of the university’s lands became the reason for the disposal of approximately 90% of the lands allocated for educational and health purposes.
The movement also revealed a complete file confirming the involvement of the University of Aden in disposing of the site designated for the College of Pharmacy and the College of Petroleum, despite the university owning approximately 400 hectares of land that was supposed to serve academic development purposes.
The Civil Movement confirmed that this violation represents an attack on the rights of citizens and legal owners, stressing that it will publish a detailed statement that includes all documents and maps and submit it to the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures.
The movement expressed its intention to continue its efforts to protect the rights of individuals and educational institutions from tampering and systematic looting, calling on all competent authorities to intervene urgently and put an end to these violations.
