An officer and a soldier were killed today, Thursday, as a result of an ambush by unidentified gunmen on a military team as it passed east of Mudiyah District, in Abyan Governorate.

Security reported that a military team was subjected to a terrorist attack while passing on the road linking the areas of Surat Al-Mashaykh and Al-Baqira, which are remote areas east of Modiya District.

According to the sources, the two victims were members of one of the presidential brigades. The attack resulted in the killing of officer “Saleh Al-Sulaimani” and his companion, “Ali Al-Fathani,” while the attackers were able to flee to an unknown destination.
