The Services and Improvement Committee of the city of Ataq, today, Thursday, began a campaign to remove encroachments and random tracts in Neighborhood Unit 312 in the city of Ataq, the center of the governorate, under the directives of Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki.
The scope of the campaign included extensive removal of a number of slums in areas designated for service facilities, sites and breathing spaces in the Jewar Unit 312 plan, and building violations and distorted appearances.
The Director General of the Land and State Real Estate Authority branch in the governorate, Muhammad Saleh Al-Marzqi, confirmed that the campaign comes within the framework of the local authority’s efforts to remove random violations, praising the efforts of Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir in preserving public interests and state lands.
Al-Marzqi explained that the committee will continue its work with the aim of eliminating slums in order to eliminate acts of encroachment on public interests.
