Today (Thursday), the “Masam” demining project in Yemen destroyed 955 mines, explosive devices, non-explosive shells, and war remnants, in the Ghail Warka area in the Jabal Habashi District in Taiz Governorate, confirming in a statement that “Masam’s” special missions team carried out Mine blasting process.
The destruction operation carried out by Masam’s task force, led by Engineer Adeeb Rajab, included 6 anti-personnel mines, 18 anti-tank mines, and 91 various shells, in addition to 23 various fuses, 5 Katyusha rockets, 746 various bullets, and 27 explosive devices. And 39 bombs.
The leadership of the Taiz axis praised the efforts of the “Masam” project to clear mines in Yemen, thanking the project management, experts and field teams for what they are doing in Taiz Governorate and in Yemen as a whole for the sake of humanity and saving innocent lives.
The statement indicated that the destruction operation took place in the presence of Masam’s supervisor in Taiz, Brigadier General Engineer Arif Al-Qahtani, the head of Taiz Axis operations, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Najjar, and the spokesman for the Taiz Axis, Colonel Abdul Basit Al-Bahr.
