Under the patronage of  Member of the Presidential Leadership Council - Governor of Ma’rib Governorate, Major General Sultan bin Ali Al-Arada, the National Committee for Women in Ma’rib Governorate organized a symposium entitled “The reality of Yemeni women in times of war and in light of the coup.”

The symposium was held in conjunction with the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women and discussed several working papers that addressed the reality of Yemeni women in various fields, highlighting the challenges they face as a result of the current conditions.

The symposium came up with a number of recommendations and proposals presented by the participants with the aim of improving the conditions of women and enhancing their role in society in light of the difficult circumstances that the country is going through.
