The local authority in Radum District, Shabwa Governorate, launched an urgent appeal to the Road Maintenance Fund, the main center in the capital, Aden, to remove quicksand on the international line, Al-Nashima, Ataq - Azzan - Ain Bamabad, due to the strong winds blowing, to avoid traffic accidents, stopping traffic in front of the sand, and cutting off the line completely
The Director General of the Directorate, Hadi Saeed Al-Kharma, confirmed that he had made several contacts with the Road Maintenance Fund, the main center in Aden, to speed up the work, especially since we are experiencing a disruption. The wind season, and currently the (Lazeb) season, has less impact than the wind season, calling on the technical teams to take advantage of this period and remove the obstacles represented by the sand dunes on the main line, Hadhramaut, Shabwa.

The international line Ataq Hadramaut Shabwa is considered a lifeline for the passage of thousands of vehicles of all kinds, and that sand affected the movement of people, as some disease cases stumble because of these obstacles and the movement of goods is affected, which results in major losses to trade as it causes damage due to the heat of the sun or Exposed to air for a long time and other erosion factors.
