Cancel and prevent the payment of any illegal amounts of money at the deposit outlet

Today, the National Shield Forces announced a firm decision to cancel and prevent the payment of any illegal sums of money of any kind at the Al-Wadiah port, the Yemeni port linking Yemen and Saudi Arabia, as of the date of issuance of this statement, December 5, 2024.
The forces stressed the need to immediately report any violations in this regard.
The statement issued by the National Shield Forces stated: “We call on all honorable travelers to adhere to this decision and report any illegal payment case detected at the port.”
The port administration was taking an amount of 10 Saudi riyals for each process of stamping passengers’ passports, under the pretext that this amount goes to operational costs and employees’ salaries.
Last month, the Al-Wadiah Port Administration posted an information board to educate travelers about free passport stamping, with phone numbers to help them report if they are subjected to any extortion.
