Israel intercepts a missile from Yemen

The Israeli army announced on Saturday morning that it had intercepted a missile coming from Yemen before it penetrated airspace.
The Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said in a short blog post on his account on the “X” platform, “The Air Force intercepted about an hour ago a missile launched from Yemen before it penetrated Israeli airspace. The sirens were not activated.”< /p>
A few days ago, the Houthi militia claimed responsibility for launching a hypersonic ballistic missile at Israel, shortly after the Israeli authorities announced the interception of a “missile launched from Yemen.”
The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, said on Sunday that the Houthis carried out a targeting operation “a vital site in the occupied Jaffa region, with a Palestine 2 hypersonic missile.”
For several months, the Houthi militia has been carrying out strikes with ballistic missiles and explosive drones deep into Israel, as part of what it says is support and assistance to the people of Gaza.
