Garbage waste fills the streets in Aden following a strike by sanitation workers

Many main streets in different areas of Aden witnessed a large accumulation of garbage waste following the strike of sanitation workers due to delayed payment of their salaries.
Citizens said that garbage remnants filled several main streets and others in residential neighborhoods a day after sanitation workers stopped working.
Citizens pointed out that the proliferation of garbage waste poses a great danger to their lives and the lives of their families due to the spread of mosquitoes that transmit diseases and epidemics.
They appealed to the local authorities to intervene urgently to transport the garbage waste out of the city in case any diseases do not occur.
