Randomly converting cars into gas costs the life of a young man in Taiz

The young man, Amer Abdel-Qawi, died from his wounds resulting from a gas cylinder explosion in his car last Tuesday in the city of Taiz, amid a noticeable increase in similar incidents.
About seven people were injured, including children and women. All of them were taken to a hospital to receive treatment, while one of them is in a critical condition.
This unfortunate accident comes in light of the rise in fuel prices, which prompted many citizens to convert their cars to run on gas, which led to the spread of the phenomenon of installing gas cylinders in cars randomly and without taking into account the simplest safety standards.
The absence of government control over shops that install gas cylinders in cars, especially in the capital, Aden, has contributed to the exacerbation of this problem, as these shops have spread widely without any controls or technical standards.
Experts warned that the continuation of this situation as it is may lead to the occurrence of more tragic incidents, which requires urgent and decisive measures to address this problem.
